Today the New York Court found in favor of the New York State Board of Regents and The State 快播视频Department and vacated the teacher certification regulations promulgated by SUNY鈥檚 Charter Schools Committee.
Here is a statement from Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa and State 快播视频快播视频er MaryEllen Elia:
鈥淭he Court鈥檚 decision is a victory for all New York鈥檚 children. In its strong opinion, the court rightly upheld the Board of the Regents and the 快播视频er鈥檚 authority to certify teachers in New York State. Every child 鈥 regardless听of color, economic status or ability听鈥 deserves a qualified teacher with meaningful experience to be prepared听for the classroom. We are pleased the court agreed. The Board of Regents and the Department will continue our efforts to raise standards for our teachers and uplift the entire profession.鈥
